While VPNs and anonymous IPs have a real use case in helping consumers maintain privacy online, they are also associated with a disproportionate percentage of fraud on the internet, as they are often used to mask a user's location and traffic patterns.
Unfortunately, the use of VPNs and anonymous IPs is highly correlated with fraud and bots on our platform.
In our quest to maintain the highest quality and trusted community, BetaTesting does not allow the use of VPNs and Anonymous IP addresses when using the website and specifically when applying to tests and participating in tests through our platform.
If you feel that it's important to use VPNs for your privacy, we understand that, but unfortunately you will not be able to use BetaTesting.
Most tests on BetaTesting are specifically targeted to testers based on their location, and clients need to test their product in that country, state, or city. So, it's critical for BetaTesting and our clients that testers are located where they say they are.
